Don't get me wrong, I ❤️ the fall! And now that it is right around the corner I am excited to see what fall 🍂 is like in my new home. Not to mention the fall beers that make the season just that more enjoyable. But as the days go by, I do miss the summer months. With that being said, I thought I would mention one of the most interesting beers of the summer. It is Grist Brewing Company's Prodigal Daughter. Formally known as "Ponche", this yummy beer is a seasonal beer and can only be enjoyed for a limited time.
I know you are probably thinking..."Jenn! but I want to read about a beer I can devour now!" Well, we all want what we can't have 😉😜 Just think of it as a preview to have on your radar when winter ❄️ is over. OR check out their other beer lineup, I promise you won't be disappointed! Based out of Highlands Ranch, CO, this brewery does not upset when it comes to innovative beer.
Prodigal Daughter is a "Spiced Fruit Ale" which embodies fruity flavors like strawberry, pear, apple, and cinnamon. The flavor combination not only screams summer, but it will also remind you of all the good summer memories made with this beer in hand. Prodigal Daughter is 5.4% ABV and is best to enjoy with smoked trout, asiago cheese, or peach sorbet. Sold as a 6 pack, if you do not feel like drinking out of the can you can enjoy in a snifter glass.
Don't wait until the summer to enjoy Grist Brewing Company's amazing beers. Check out their website to view their other yummy beers (FYI: the English IPA is my all time fav), and the "Find Our Brews" page to see if you can find a Grist Beer near you.
