The month of February is an interesting month. It is the shortest month of the year, it is the third month of Winter, celebrates Valentine's Day, and of course contains the largest American sporting event of the year...the SuperBowl. So for the "Beer of the Month", I thought I would choose a beer that was sweet yet strong. Left Hand Brewing Company's Milk Stout embodies both of those characteristics. It is creamy and sweet with a slight bite, and can ensenuate the flavors of certain foods.
This stout packs a punch so I was surprised it is only 6% ABV. It is suggested to pair this delicous beer with sugary type foods like desserts, (hence the homemade brownies in the background 😉) or BBQ. This stout is also in Nitro form for a more creamier and smoother consumption. I myself love both, so there is no wrong choice in my opinion!
The Milk Stout would be perfect for a movie night on Valentine's Day with Goobers and popcorn. Or enjoy with brownies while watching the Superbowl. Left Hand Brewing has received several rewards for this beer...another reason to try/keep in your fridge for a raining day (or in my case, a snow day). Left Hand distributes to several states in the U.S., but it is always safe to go to their website just to make sure.
Stayed tuned for the next "Beer of the Month" series in March. Until then, enjoy everything Left Hand Brewing Company's Milk Stout has to offer.
