It is that time of year again, the New Year. But not just any New Year, a Chinese New Year! And what better way to bring in the New Year than with the refreshing taste of a Tsingtao beer. I look forward to this holiday because it is unlike any celebration out there. The first day of the New Year falls on the new moon between January 21st and February 20th. This celebration is a 15 day affair and is anything but ordinary. This year, the first day of the Chinese New Year is on Saturday, January 28th initiating the Year of the Rooster. One of my favorite Chinese New Year traditions is receiving the infamous "Red Envelope" or red packet containing money. I went ahead and gave my team/colleagues at work a red envelope to share the holiday I enjoy so much. Needless to say they were appreciative.
Now on to the good stuff...the beer! Tsingtao has a unique taste, balanced, and is an easy to drink pilsner. The best part is you can find it almost anywhere. Today, it is consumed in over 90 different countries around the world, making it China’s most widely exported beer. Unlike other exported beers, Tsingtao is not brewed under license. With that being said, every bottle is brewed in China using the same pure ingredients that was used 100 years ago. This guarantees that wherever a Tsingtao is being consumed, it will always have the same great Tsingtao taste.
Whether it is Chinese New Year or just a regular day, you can't go wrong with this beer. Happy New Year!!
